Barrett Fitness owner, Anne-Michelle Barrett, embodies the meaning of fitness and has an unmatched passion for teaching and inspiring others to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle. Consistently coaching through positive reinforcement based on both science and experience helping clients reach goals, she has a proven track record of success and motivating each individual to go above and beyond. In addition to Barrett Fitness, Anne-Michelle has worked as a trainer, class instructor, cycling instructor and Fitness Manager for some of the largest health club chains in the US. Specializing in functional strength training geared towards weight loss, injury prevention in athletes and pre and postnatal fitness, Anne-Michelle has the qualifications to match.
She is an ACE certified personal trainer, a Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT-200), an Integrated Stretch Specialist, a USATF Certified Running Coach and holds specialty certifications in Sports Nutrition, TRX, Kettlebells and The Functional Movement Screen. In addition, she is certified to train the pre and post natal population and is passionate about helping women reconnect to their bodies after childbirth.
Fitness is not only Anne-Michelle’s career path, but also her life. In her free time she enjoys Mountaineering, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Cycling, Running, Kayaking, Strength Training and Practicing Yoga. She is particularly fond of Adventure Travel and Triathlons. Highlights include hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Summitting Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa and completing the Ironman 70.3 Miami and Escape from Alcatraz Triathlons. No challenge is too big for her or her clients…if you can dream it, you can do it!
